Michael (Jason) Lee is the Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect within the Technical Account Management Division in the Office of Enterprise Technology Solutions for the Office of Information Technology Category (ITC) in GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service (FAS). The Federal Acquisition Service provides buying platforms and acquisition services to Federal, State and Local governments for a broad range of items from office supplies to motor vehicles to information technology and telecommunications products and services. As an organization within FAS, ITC provides access to a wide range of commercial and custom IT products, services, and solutions.
In his current role, Jason is responsible for providing solutions engineering advice and assistance to Federal, State and Local agencies for a portfolio of services underpinning the government’s digital infrastructure. He and a team of solutions experts provide technical leadership for the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) program, Multiple Award Schedule IT, and other Governmentwide Acquisition Contracts, lead managed networking and cybersecurity initiatives, and give consultative support.
Prior to coming to GSA, Jason was a federal employee with the South Carolina National Guard (SCNG) as a wireless Subject Matter Expert (SME), he managed wireless communications in the HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF frequency spectrums. In addition, he was the State Switched Systems Manager, where Jason led his team in support of all voice equipment, cable and wireless infrastructure, mobile devices, a mobility server, and parts of the data network for over 70 locations across the state of South Carolina. Jason was the Network Services Supervisor for the Regional Training Institute (RTI). Jason and his team maintained all the cable, and wireless infrastructure, as well as the training domain, virtual training environment, and all network appliances that supported this training network. While with the RTI Jason led his team providing superior help desk services for all RTI employees and students. Since moving to GSA, he has held multiple positions, including an Area Telecommunications Manager, a Lead Telecommunications Specialist, and now the Senior Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions Architect (IT Specialist).
He spent 27 years in the South Carolina Army National Guard, reaching the rank of Master Sergeant. He held various positions leading terrestrial and space-based wireless communications. His last assignment, prior to retiring, was the non-commissioned officer in charge of medium and large data centers.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Management and Technology in Arlington, VA. He is a graduate of the George Washington University, Center for Excellence in Public Leadership, Senior Leadership Program. He is a certified FAC-COR III and FAC-P/PM-IT Senior. He holds CompTIA certifications in A+, Network+, Security +, Secure Infrastructure Specialist, and IT Operations Specialist. He holds EC-Council certifications in Certified Ethical Hacker, and Certified Network Defense Architect.
