Michael Berger

Michael Berger is the head of Munich Re’s Insure AI team. The team structures insurance solutions for AI risks, including the risk of wrong predictions and discrimination. Michael has been based in Palo Alto, California, USA since 2016. Prior to his current role in Silicon Valley, he worked for Munich Re in Munich and London, where he was responsible for structuring innovative corporate insurance and reinsurance solutions. He holds a Masters in Information and Data Science from UC Berkeley, a PhD in Finance and a Masters in Business Administration from the Bundeswehr University Munich, and a Masters in Philosophy from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich.
