Karthik Sethuraman is a product and technology strategist, working in the telecom industry for over 20 years. As senior product manager at Tata Communications, he is currently responsible for all Core Connectivity Services products for the Americas region. Prior to this, he was the technical product manager for 5G Open Virtualized RAN and a member of the 5G/6G technology strategy team at NEC.
As a principal software architect, he also has extensive experience in architecting, designing and hands-on coding of SDN control and Service Management Orchestration (SMO) software systems. He is the outgoing co-chair of the MEF LSO (Lifecycle Services Orchestration) Committee and has been actively involved in LSO APIs standards development since its inception.
Karthik also previously lead the ONF Transport API (TAPI) project and was a TST member of ONF Open Transport Configuration & Control (OTCC) and Open Information Model & Tools (OIMT) projects. Karthik has a degree in Computer Science and spent his early career in AI systems research.
